In Estrada Monumental [Monumental Road], there is a space with tradition, a fantastic view of the sea and delicious food.
It is inserted in a sports complex with beautiful swimming pools, almost over the sea. It has a breath-taking sea view, either from the terrace or from the dining room. The room is large, with good dimensions, with a white ceiling and walls in slatted wood, creating a beautiful effect. Tables very well equipped, elegant, and a very professional service. This Atlantic offers a varied menu, based on the Mediterranean diet, but with proposals of traditional Portuguese dishes and even some notes of Madeiran cuisine. As entrées, peixinhos da horta [tempura green beans], bruschetta with green asparagus and parmesan, poached egg and crunchy ham, tomato soup with poached egg and onion soup au gratin with gorgonzola. Grilled tuna or some other fish of the day, grilled squid or a curious fillet of breaded mackerel in harissa, green couscous, beetroot and orange and avocado sauce. The Parisian café steak is famous, but so is the traditional Madeiran skewer. There are also some fresh salads and some very well-presented pastas.
In the wine list there is a good presence of Madeiran wines. The landscape does the rest.
