It's part of the Savoy Saccharum Resort & Spa hotel, in Arco da Calheta. With a fabulous situation, the hotel seems to be born from the hillside, right in front of the sea, descending at various levels, with an incredible view over the marina and the ocean. The three swimming pools and three restaurants are almost a must-visit. Alambique stands out, firstly because its name is associated with something that also has to do with the name of the hotel: Saccharum has to do with the sugar cane that is so popular in Madeira and whose product goes through the alambiques (alembics) to produce the Madeira rum, now famous throughout the world. This is the motto with which Nini Andrade da Silva, a Madeiran interior designer, worked, in collaboration with RH+ Arquitetos, to create yet another beautiful piece of decorative art that is this hotel. The Alambique restaurant is decorated in dark tones, which highlight the exterior light and the delicious landscape, to which can be added many motifs that have to do with alembics. Tables set with simplicity, but great elegance and impeccable professional service. In the kitchen, Chef Raúl Ferreira managed to create a symbiosis between Madeiran and international cuisine, using above all local products with great success. In Alambique, more than a meal, both guests and customers enjoy a great gastronomic experience. Accompanied by an excellent wine service, where many Madeira wines pontificate. The sea is always ahead.
