The Monte Palace Madeira Museum, an exhibition space with three galleries, was built at the highest point in the garden. A collection of minerals and precious stones is on display on the ground floor and a collection of contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture can be seen on the first and second floors.

“Mother Nature’s Secrets”
There are around 700 mineral samples on display, mostly from Brazil, Portugal, South Africa, Zambia, Peru, Argentina and North America. Here you can see a wide range of minerals and precious stones that stand out due to their different colours, brightness and shapes.

"African Passion"
The Zimbabwe stone sculpture collection includes works by the first generation of artists from Tengenenge, a community formed in the 1960s. Among the internationally-recognised artists featured are Henry Munyaradzi, Bernard Matemera, Fanizani Akuda, Sylvester Mubayi, Anderson Mwale, and others.
